Shameless rockets into Australian Podcast Ranker top 5

Described as a ‘pop culture podcast for smart people who love dumb stuff’, Shameless podcast has secured a spot in the top five podcasts of August.

The Australian Podcast Ranker has revealed that Hamish & Andy once again was first on the list with 897,086 listeners in August, up from 860,000 in July.

Sitting in second, third and fourth place, in the same order as the previous month, was ABC News Top Stories Australian Broadcasting Corporation, with 717,549 monthly listeners; Casefile True Crime, with 677,813; and Mamamia Out Loud, with 562,587.

Bronwyn by News Corp Australia was knocked off the list and replaced with Shameless, which sat in fifth place.

The report also unveiled the top five genres for the month, which remained the same as July.

Society and culture were the most popular (4,643,132 monthly listeners), followed by true crime (4,041,916), news (3,996,564), comedy (3,485,773), and sports (3,369,603).
