TRITON DIGITAL RELEASES THE AUSTRALIAN PODCAST RANKER FOR DECEMBER 2024
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – January 15, 2025 – Triton Digital®, the global technology and services leader to the digital audio, podcast, and broadcast radio industries, announced today the release of the December 2024 Australian Podcast Ranker.
The Ranker provides insights into the Top Publishers in Australia, and the Top Sales Representatives in Australia from December 1 through December 31, 2024, as measured by Triton’s Podcast Metrics measurement service.
In December 2024 we also welcomed a new publisher to the Australian Podcast Ranker— BBC.
BBC podcasts debuted with a wide range of titles that showcase the breadth of the BBC offering
across news, factual, comedy, sports, and investigative podcasts. BBC Global News Podcast
heads the list at #33, with The Infinite Monkey Cage, You’re Dead to Me, World of Secrets and
Football Daily among the other BBC titles in the Top 200.

The Top Podcast Ranker and Top 200 Australian-Made Ranker are ranked by monthly listeners, in accordance with the latest IAB Podcast Technical Measurement Guidelines.
For this reporting period, the top three publishers were ARN/iHeart again at #1, LiSTNR (SCA) again at #2, and Australian Broadcasting Corporation again at #3.
The top three podcasts for both the Top Podcast Ranker and Top 200 Australian-Made Ranker included ABC News Top Stories (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) climbing to #1, Casefile True Crime (Audioboom) at #2, and Mamamia Out Loud (Mamamia ) climbing to #3.
The Top Podcast Ranker saw many debuts in the month of December, which included BBC Global News Podcast (BBC), Deadly Mirage (NBCUniversal News Group), Cricket Et Al (DM Podcasts), Smoke Screen: Deadly Cure (ARN/iHeart) and more.
The Junkees - Dave O'Neil and Kitty Flanagan (Nine Radio), The Weather That Changed Us (Australian Broadcasting Corporation), Diary Of A Birth (Mamamia), Cold Chisel (LiSTNR (SCA)) and more debuted in the Top 200 Australian-Made Ranker.
Burnt (Special Broadcasting Service) and Poisoned (Podshape) debuted for both the Top 200 Australian-Made Ranker and Top Podcast Ranker.
