... PodcastOne parent LiveOne has raised the amount of money it expects to save from a cost-cutting drive. It now expects to trim $7.5 million in expenses in 2026. That is up from a previous target of $5 million. CEO Robert Ellincredits the use of AI. “We continue to exceed our cost reduction targets while strengthening our balance sheet and positioning the Company for scalable, profitable growth,” Ellin said in a statement. “Our investments in AI-driven efficiencies, combined with expanding strategic partnerships, are driving meaningful operating leverage across the business.” LiveOne says it has reduced its workforce from 350 to 78 as part of the effort, including trimming about 19% of its staff this quarter.

... Gemini XIII has inked an ad sales and marketing partnership with GoToHealth Media that will see its popular flagship podcast join its network. The “Go To Health!” podcast, hosted by medical education expert and healthcare marketer Jonathan Marx, features interviews with health experts who share evidence-based western, alternative, and holistic medicine approaches to a wide variety of health issues. It has produced 270 episodes and has more than 5 million downloads to date.

The daily “Podcasting Morning Chat” names Ralph Estep as co-Executive Producer alongside founder and host Marc Ronick. The series is a show that brings together podcasters and content creators from around the world for conversation, collaboration, and insight about podcasting and the creator economy. “This partnership allows me to focus on what I do best, leading the conversation, hosting the show, and empowering podcasters around the world,” Ronick said. “Ralph brings the business clarity, infrastructure, and monetization expertise that helps us build a stronger foundation for the future.”

... Triton Digital says News remained the top genre in Australia during February, with more than 5.2 million monthly listeners, up from 5 million a month earlier.

Society & Culture ranked second, with 3.9 million, which was up about 100,000. Comedy jumped into third place with 2.6 million monthly listeners, followed by Sports with 2.5 million as True Crime slid back to fifth place. In terms of shows, Triton says Mamamia’s “Mamamia Out Loud” remained No. 1 with 2.4 million downloads during February. LiSTNR’s perennial top show, “Hamish & Andy,” saw hosts Hamish Blake and Andy Lee remain on summer break. That allowed Mamamia’s “Mamamia Out Loud” to take the top spot with more than 2 million downloads.
